4、和believe的用法: (1)believe作及物動詞時,其后跟名詞作賓語,表示“相信”; 賓語是人時表示“相信某人說的話”,后跟從句或復合賓語時,意為“認為;料想;相信等。 (2)believe in為動詞短語,后跟名詞或代詞作賓語.表示“信奉;信仰;信任”的意思。不能跟從句作賓語。 特別注意: 當賓語是人的時候,其區(qū)別見下面的兩個句子: I believe him.=I believe what he said. I believe in him.=I think he is a trust worth yuan.(believe in=have trust in) I

5、believe him. 我相信他(說的話不錯) I believe in him. 我信任他(為人可靠) 2. I’d like to think they are real. 我愿意相信他們是存在的。 real表示“真的…”“真實的…”“名符其實的”,形容詞,指的是事實上存在,不是想象或虛構(gòu)的。 如: I' m learning to skate on real ice 真正的冰 true“真正的”“真的”表示的是和事實及事實情況相符,而不是編造的。 如:The news is true. really是real的副詞形式。 3. Its yellow tongue was

6、 long and moved very quickly . 它的黃色的舌頭很長;而且移動非常迅速。 tongue除了表示舌頭之外,還有另一層意思,它還可以表示語言、方言。 例如:My native tongue is Chinese . 我的母語是漢語。 4. Li Hua was eager to see dragons. 李華渴望見到龍。 eager的常用結(jié)構(gòu): be eager to do sth. 渴望做某事 be eager for / about sth. 渴望/殷切希望某事 be eager that… 熱切地希望…be eager in sth. 在…熱心的

7、 例如: He is eager to succeed. He is eager for success. He is eager that he will succeed soon.  他渴望成功。 He is eager in his studies.    他熱衷于學業(yè)。 5. It made a quick bite in the deer’s leg and it was a poisonous bite. 它很快地在鹿的腿上咬了一口,而且這是有毒的一口。 (1)bite既可以作名詞表示“咬一口”。 還可以作動詞表示“咬住,咬傷,啃”,詞形變化為bite-bit-bi

(2)poisonous表示有毒的,例如:poisonous snakes 毒蛇,poison是它的名詞形式,意為“毒藥,毒物”。 例如:It is a useful rat-poison . 這是一種很有效的老鼠藥。 6. Have your classmates suggest other good words to use in your ad. 讓你的同學們針對你的廣告提出使用其他好詞語的建議。 suggest v.作“建議”講時,常見結(jié)構(gòu)有: suggest sth. 建議某事; suggest doing sth.建議做某事; suggest one’s doing

11、 sth.建議某人做某事; suggest that sb. (should) do sth.建議某人做某事。 作“預示”講時,構(gòu)成句型suggest sth.和suggest that-clause(不用虛擬語氣)。 9. Thanks for having me as your guest . 感謝你招待了我。 thanks for sth. / doing sth. 為某事感謝某人。 例如:Thanks for helping me with my English learning . 謝謝你對我英語學習的幫助。 語法: 復習過去進行時 1. 過去進行時由was(第一三

12、人稱單數(shù))和were(其余各人稱和數(shù))加現(xiàn)在分詞構(gòu)成,現(xiàn)以動詞work為例: 肯定式否定式 I was working. You were working. He/She/It was working. We/You/They were working.I was not(wasn't)working. You were not(weren't)working. He/She/It was not (wasn’t) working. We/You/They were not (weren’t) working. 一般疑問句簡略答語 Was I working? Were

13、you working? Was he/she/it working? Were we/you/they working?Yes,you were. No,you were not(weren't). Yes, I was. No,I was not(wasn't). Yes,he/she/it was.No,he/she/it was not(wasn't). No,you/we/they were not(weren't). 2. 過去進行時的用法。 表示在過去某一時刻或某一段時間正在進行的動作。這一特定的過去時間,除有上下文暗示以外,一般用時間狀語來表示。 例如:

14、—What were you doing this time yesterday? —We were working in class. 3. 一般過去時與過去進行時用法的比較。 一般過去時表示在過去某個時間發(fā)生的動作或存在的狀態(tài),而過去進行時則表示在過去某一時刻或一段時正在進行的動作。 例如: Mary wrote a letter to her friend last night.瑪麗昨晚給她的朋友寫了封信。(信寫完了) Mary was writing a letter to her friend last night.瑪麗昨晚一直在給她的朋友寫信。(信不一定寫完) 同
