Teaching materials analyzing and rearranging 教材分析和重組 1. 教材分析 本單元以What would you do為話題,共設(shè)計(jì)了四個(gè)部分的內(nèi)容: Section A 該部分有4個(gè)模塊:第一模塊圍繞What would you do if you had a lot of money?這一話題展開思維(1a)、聽力(1b)、口語(1c)訓(xùn)練;第二模塊圍繞Embarrassing situations(worries/problems) 進(jìn)行聽力(2a-2b)、口語
7、訓(xùn)練(2c);第三模塊繼續(xù)就上一模塊中的Embarrassing situations這一話題展開訓(xùn)練,訓(xùn)練形式為閱讀配對(duì)(3a)和角色表演(3b);第四模塊仍就Embarrassing situations以小組活動(dòng)形式展開討論。 Section B 該部分有4個(gè)模塊:第一模塊是詞匯的學(xué)習(xí)(1a)與運(yùn)用(1b);第二模塊圍繞A personality survey繼續(xù)對(duì)What would you do if…/I would…進(jìn)行聽力(2a-2b)、口語訓(xùn)練(2c);第三模塊繼續(xù)圍繞A personality survey 這一話題展開閱讀(3a)和寫作(3b)訓(xùn)練;第四模塊仍就A p
8、ersonality survey這一話題以口語訓(xùn)練形式展開小組活動(dòng)。 Self Check 該部分有2個(gè)模塊:第一模塊以填空形式對(duì)所學(xué)詞匯進(jìn)行訓(xùn)練;第二模塊就一封E-mail展開閱讀和寫作訓(xùn)練。 Reading 該部分共設(shè)置了5項(xiàng)任務(wù):第一項(xiàng)任務(wù)以問題討論的方式激活學(xué)生相關(guān)背景知識(shí);第二項(xiàng)任務(wù)要求學(xué)生通過快速閱讀獲取信息;第三項(xiàng)任務(wù)利用討論、寫作等練習(xí)形式加深學(xué)生對(duì)閱讀內(nèi)容的理解;第四項(xiàng)任務(wù)要求學(xué)生能運(yùn)用所學(xué)知識(shí)解決實(shí)際問題;第五項(xiàng)任務(wù)要求學(xué)生運(yùn)用所學(xué)知識(shí)開展實(shí)踐活動(dòng)(做一次調(diào)查)。 2. 教材重組和課時(shí)分配 Period I (Section A: 1a, 1b, 1c)

13、dents to show their work. T: In the last unit, you were asked to do a project on a famous person’s childhood and how he/she became successful. Now who’d like to display your project on the classroom wall? Sample project: Edison’s childhood There are many stories about what Edison was like as a
14、child. They all show that from an early age, Edison was curious about the world around him and always tried to teach himself through reading and experiments. Surprisingly, little "Al" Edison, who was the last of seven children in his family, did not learn to talk until he was almost four years old.
15、 Immediately thereafter, he began pleading with everyadult hemet to explain the workings of just about everything he met. If they said they didnt know, he would look them straight in the eye with his deeply set and lovely blue-green eyes and ask them "Why?" At age 11, Toms parents tried to teach hi

He not only talked his parents into letting him go to work selling newspapers, snacks, and candy on the railroad, he had started an ent
17、irely separate business selling fruits and vegetables..... By 14, Tombecame totally deaf in his left ear, and approximately 80% deaf in his right ear. He once said that the worst thing about this condition was that he was unable to enjoy the beautiful sounds of singing birds. One of the most signi
18、ficant events in Toms life now occurred when — as a reward for his heroism — the boys grateful father taught him how to master the use of Morse code and the telegraph. In 1869, when Edison was twenty-two years old, he patented his first invention and advertised that he "would hereafter devote his f
19、ull time to bringing out his inventions." Over the next years, Edisons progress in creating successful inventions for industry really took off. Then ask the students to tell what they can learn from Edison. S: Edison once said, “Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.” As for we students,
20、we should make no excuse in our learning process and work hard every day to achieve our goals. T: Edison had a really different childhood from us. He was the greatest inventor in the nineteenth century. Of all his inventions, electric bulb is one of the most important. But just imagine what the wo
21、rld would be if there is no electric bulb? Today we’re going to learn how to talk about things that haven’t happened. Step II Listening and Speaking Ask the students to read the picture on Page 26. T: When we talk about things that haven’t happened, we can use the words I would or I’d. Now loo
22、k at the picture on Page 26. What can you see in the picture? S: We can see some people, a school, a zoo, a research lab, a bank. T: What are the people in the lower part of the picture doing? S1: Maybe they are thinking about the answers to the question shown in the picture. S2: The woman is
23、reading a newspaper and they are all thinking of the answers to the question. T: Pretend you are the people in the picture, what would you do if you had a million dollars? S3: I’d buy a beautiful car. Write buy a beautiful car on the blackboard. S4: I’d build a research lab. S5: I’d give it

27、 I’d say yes. 5. – What would you do if you found a wallet in the street? – I’d give it to the police. Step III Listening Ask the students to listen to the recording and compare their answers with those in the recording. T: Next we’ll hear a conversation about how to spend a million do
28、llars. The recording will be played twice. For the first time, listen to get the order you hear. Play the tape for the first time. T: For the second time, please number the picture in the order you hear them. Play the tape for the second time. Then check the answers. Step IV Homework 1.
