一、教學(xué)目標(biāo)
1. 能夠在教師的引導(dǎo)下,借助圖片和其他閱讀策略讀懂本單元的故事,回答B(yǎng),C兩項(xiàng)的問(wèn)題。
2. 能夠通過(guò)閱讀Smith一家人的圣誕節(jié)活動(dòng),了解更多有關(guān)西方節(jié)日的慶祝方式和習(xí)俗。
二、教學(xué)建議
讀前活動(dòng)
1. 教師播放音樂(lè),請(qǐng)學(xué)生齊唱圣誕歌曲:We Wish You A Merry Christmas!
2. 教師問(wèn)學(xué)生:What do you know abo

3. 學(xué)生四人一組,展開討論并回答。
4. 教師向?qū)W生介紹:Christmas is the birthday of Jesus. During the Christmas, there are three important days, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
讀中活動(dòng)
1. 教師請(qǐng)學(xué)生打開課本快速閱讀一遍故事,初步感知文本主要內(nèi)容。
2. 教師說(shuō):This is a long passage, but we can divide it into four parts. The 1st p
3、art is about a week before Christmas. How about the 2nd, 3rd and 4th part? 學(xué)生回答:Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, the day after Christmas。教師帶領(lǐng)學(xué)生在故事中標(biāo)注出四個(gè)部分(the 1st part: 圖一?圖三;the 2nd part: 圖四?圖五;the 3rd part: 圖六?圖七;the 4th part: 圖八)
3. 教師分配小組任務(wù)。學(xué)生四人一組,組內(nèi)每人負(fù)責(zé)在一個(gè)時(shí)間段的圣誕活動(dòng)下畫線并承擔(dān)相應(yīng)的介紹任務(wù)(三?五句),同時(shí)組內(nèi)成員互助學(xué)習(xí)生詞,
4、如:decorate, wrap, stocking, at the bottom of等。
4. 學(xué)生以小組為單位,向組員匯報(bào)Smith一家人在圣誕季四個(gè)不同時(shí)段的活動(dòng),如:S1: It’s a week before Christmas. The Smith Family ... S2: It’s Christmas Eve. First, they ... S3: It’s Christmas Day. The family ... S4: It’s the day after Christmas. The Smith family ...
5. 學(xué)生聽錄音默讀故事,進(jìn)一步理解故事
5、內(nèi)容。此時(shí)教師可帶領(lǐng)學(xué)生進(jìn)一步復(fù)習(xí)生詞,如:decorate, wrap, stocking,at the bottom of等(通過(guò)圖片、英英互譯或舉例說(shuō)明的方式理解生詞)。
6. 學(xué)生在小組內(nèi)朗讀故事,或者全班學(xué)生接龍讀故事(一人讀一段,前一名學(xué)生讀完后選擇后一名學(xué)生繼續(xù)朗讀)。
讀后活動(dòng)
1. 教師請(qǐng)學(xué)生看B項(xiàng)的幾個(gè)問(wèn)題,并嘗試回答。教師及時(shí)訂正。
2. 教師說(shuō):Christmas is the most important holiday in western countries. What holiday is the most important in China? How

3. 教師向?qū)W生提出三個(gè)問(wèn)題:What do people do before/on/after Spring Festival? 請(qǐng)學(xué)生自主選擇并回答。
4. 教師及時(shí)把學(xué)生的精彩回答以思維導(dǎo)圖的形式記錄在黑板上,幫助學(xué)生掌握更多有關(guān)春節(jié)的英文表達(dá),如:

6. 教師布置作業(yè),讓學(xué)生制作“My Favourite Holiday”的思維導(dǎo)

Tip:教師可向?qū)W生簡(jiǎn)單介紹西方國(guó)家最主要的三個(gè)節(jié)日:Easter, Thanksgiving, Halloween,以便讓學(xué)生進(jìn)一步了解西方文化。
?Easter: Easter is always on a Sunday. It’s maybe in March or April. Easter is a time for coloured eggs. The egg is a symbol of new life. Easter egg games are famous. One of the Easter egg games is the Easter Egg H

?Thanksgiving: In the United States, Thanksgiving is celebrated on the 4th Thursday of November. Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks. It’s a time for holiday meals. People eat turkey, pumpkin pie, mashed potatoes and com. People say “Happy Thanksgiving!” to each other.
?Halloween: Halloween
9、 is celebrated on October 31st. It’s a time of ghosts and witches. On Halloween, some people dress up as ghosts, witches and other scary characters. On Halloween night, children go door to door asking for sweets. People like to make jack-o-lantems. At night, they put them outside their doors.
