1、Unit 6An old man tried to move the mountains.單元語法專題單元語法專題Grammar Focus連詞unless, as soon as, sothat1unless引導條件狀語從句，相當于ifnot，在許多情況下二者可以互換。如：You will fail in the exam unless you work hard.You will fail in the exam if you dont work hard.【注意】(1)如果unless從句本身是否定式，則unless不能用ifnot替換。(2)unless引導從句時，句子要遵循“主將從現(xiàn)

2、”的原則。2as soon as 主要用來引導時間狀語從句，表示主從句的謂語動作同時發(fā)生或幾乎同時發(fā)生。如：Ill ring you up as soon as I arrive in Beijing.3sothat意為“如此以至于”，其中so 是副詞，用來修飾形容詞或副詞。常見結(jié)構(gòu)有：(1)so形容詞/副詞that 如：He speaks so fast that I cant follow him.(2)somany/few復數(shù)可數(shù)名詞that 如：I have made so many mistakes that I cant pass the exam.(3)somuch/little

3、不可數(shù)名詞that 如：I have so little money with me that I cant buy anything.【拓展】在sothat句型中，當主句的主語與that引導的從句的主語一致時，“sothat肯定句”句型可與“enough to”句型互換；“sothat否定句”句型可與“tooto”句型互換。如：He was so clever that he could understand what I said.He was clever enough to understand what I said.The girl is so young that she can
