1、 Unit 6 Now And Then Lesson 17 Interesting Animals ◆ 教材分析 本課的教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)分為兩課時(shí)。第一課時(shí)在復(fù)習(xí)、學(xué)習(xí)身體部位名稱（多為二級詞匯，主要為復(fù)習(xí)）的基礎(chǔ)上，側(cè)重對閱讀文本的理解，引導(dǎo)學(xué)生通過閱讀獲取動(dòng)物體貌的基本信息，獲取并整理這兩種動(dòng)物的特殊性。在閱讀活動(dòng)中，培養(yǎng)學(xué)生獲取關(guān)鍵信息和總結(jié)信息的閱讀策略，體驗(yàn)連詞and、or在簡單句中，以及and、so、but在并列復(fù)合句中的用法，通過不斷內(nèi)化信息和語言，最后進(jìn)行基于閱讀文本信息的語言輸出活動(dòng)。 第二課時(shí)在復(fù)習(xí)課文內(nèi)容和語言的基礎(chǔ)上，引導(dǎo)學(xué)生歸納總結(jié)本課的語法——簡單句和并

2、列復(fù)合句，關(guān)注他們的基本結(jié)構(gòu)，理解and、or、but、so的表意功能和語用特征，在不同語境下進(jìn)行多層次的練習(xí)。最后運(yùn)用本課所學(xué)詞匯及語法功能，結(jié)合本課話題，描述一個(gè)自己喜歡的動(dòng)物。 ◆ 教學(xué)目標(biāo) 【知識與能力目標(biāo)】 1. Key structures: 【過程與方法目標(biāo)】 1準(zhǔn)確說出身體部位的名稱； 2. 通過閱讀獲取并整理有關(guān)企鵝和長頸鹿的體貌特點(diǎn)及生活特點(diǎn)的信息 【情感態(tài)度價(jià)值觀目標(biāo)】 介紹企鵝或長頸鹿的體貌特征和生活特點(diǎn)。 【教學(xué)重點(diǎn)】 1. 提通辨認(rèn)并準(zhǔn)確說出自己喜歡動(dòng)物的名稱； 2. 通過聽獲取四位小朋友喜歡的

3、動(dòng)物及原因等細(xì)節(jié)信息 【教學(xué)難點(diǎn)】 和同伴討論彼此喜歡的動(dòng)物及原因。 ◆ 課前準(zhǔn)備 ◆ Tape recorder, Multimedia ◆ 教學(xué)過程 Step 1. Brainstorm T shows a picture of a giraffe and tells about its long neck. ? T asks Ss what animals they think are interesting. Step 2. Warm-up T shows some

4、 pictures of animals and asks Ss to name the body parts. If they don’t know, T tells them the names of the body parts. Ss read the words after T. ? T shows pictures of a penguin and a giraffe. Ss tell their knowledge about two animals. (Ex. 1) For Example：Penguins have short legs. They walk very slo

5、wly. Step 3. Pre-reading 1. Play the recording of the dialogue and ask the students to read aloud with the speaker. 2. Ss look at the table, and guess which animal the children may choose. 3. Ss can write down their own guesses in the table. Step 4. Pre-reading T asks Ss to try to guess

6、the answers to the following questions:?Are penguins bird or fish??Penguins swim 15 / 25 / 35 miles an hour.?Do giraffes spread their front legs to drink water??Can giraffes run for a long time??? T helps Ss learn the word “spread”. Step 5. Reading. 1. Ss read the text quickly and find the answe

7、rs for the four questions. ? T calls back the answers from the class. T discusses with Ss about their understanding of the difficult sentence:?They have to spread their front legs wide and bend their necks, so their heads can reach the ground. 2. Ss read the text carefully, and find the informatio

8、n about the body parts of the two animals to complete the table. (Ex. 2) T checks answers in class. Ss describe penguins and giraffes with the help of the table in pairs. 3. Ss discuss the structure of the text. T helps Ss understand that the texts are in two parts: appearance and interesting featu

9、res. Ss read the second part of penguins carefully. T works with the Ss to summarise the features of penguins. Ss work in pairs, read the second part of giraffes and summarise the features of giraffes. T checks answers in class. Step 6 Group talk: Ss complete the sentences with?and, or, but, an
