教材分析
本課是第11單元的第3課。本課的語篇是一篇關于廣告的文章The Advertising Game。學生將在本課了解西方廣告的構思、設計、影響及作用,并討論廣告對人們?nèi)粘I畹挠绊?。學習有關廣告的詞匯,理解文章大意,使用略讀、細讀等閱讀策略。通過圖片、錄像等手段提高學生學習語言的興趣,豐富課外知識,有助于獲取文章內(nèi)容信息,把握主旨大意。
本課的語法是動名詞Gerunds。學生對這一語法現(xiàn)象比較模糊,雖然經(jīng)常在文章中見到,但對于動名詞的用法不太熟悉。要幫助學生

本課計劃按兩課時完成:第一課時重點是閱讀文章(The Advertising Game):1. 學生通過錄像和廣告語的圖片了解廣告的特點;2. 使用略讀和細讀等閱讀策略,從文章中提取信息,處理信息;3. 利用文章中信息和掌握的知識談論廣告對人們?nèi)粘I畹挠绊?。第二課時講解語法Gerunds,在文章語找出動名詞,并在語境中恰當?shù)厥褂谩?
