What could you do to be a more successful gardener?,Language Points,(1) consider作動詞，意為“考慮；思考”， 后面常接名詞、代詞或V-ing形式。 其次，consider后還可以接從句或“疑問詞+不定式”。如：,You must consider many things when you decide to begin gardening. 你必須考慮很多事情當你決定開始從事園藝業(yè)。,I’m considering going abroad some day. 我一直考慮有一天出國。,(2) decide作動詞，意為“決定；決心”，常用短語decide to do sth.意為“決心做某事”，相當于make up one’s mind to do sth.。decide后面也常用“疑問詞＋to do sth.”作賓語。名詞形式是decision，常用短語make decisions to do sth，意為“下決心做某事”。如：,She’s decided to work hard.她已經(jīng)決定要努力學習。,a. keep+名詞/代詞+形容詞，表示“使某人或某物保持某種狀態(tài)”。如：,2. You need to keep water nearby. 你需要盡可能的保存水。,Keep the door open. 請讓門開著。,b. keep + sb. / sth.+介詞短語，表示 “使……某人處于位置”。如：,The children keep their hands behind their backs. 孩子們一直把手放在身后。,c. keep sb./sth. +動詞-ing形式，表示“讓某人或某物（長時間地）進行著某個動作”。如：,Don’t keep your car running too fast. 不要讓你的車一直跑得太快。,3. It can keep these small animals away from your garden. 它可以讓這些小動物遠離你的花園。,keep away from意為“(使)不接近；遠離；避開”，和stay away from意思是一樣的，但用法不一樣。常用結(jié)構(gòu)是keep sb. away from sth.，另外一個是stay away from sth.。如：,You’d better stay away from the big dog. = You’d better keep yourself from the big dog. 你最好離那只狗遠一點。,Exercises,1.
