教學(xué)目標(biāo)
1. 知識目標(biāo)
a. 掌握以下重點詞匯和短語
ambition, disability, fellow, independent, beneficial, encouragement, in other words, all in all, out of breath, make fun of.
b. 理解和運用以下重點句型
1. I have to adapt to my disability.
2. Just accept them for whom they are

a. 通過對段落結(jié)構(gòu)的分析,使學(xué)生掌握scanning的閱讀技巧。要提高他們的閱讀速度和快速尋找信息的能力,培養(yǎng)他們分析和概括能力。
b. 讓學(xué)生理解殘疾人及其生活情況,使學(xué)生明白身體有殘疾并不意味著生活不如意,但
他們在日常生活和工作中比健全人面臨著更大的挑戰(zhàn)。

a. 結(jié)合個人經(jīng)歷,充分體驗殘疾人的感受,提高學(xué)生理解、尊重、關(guān)心和幫助殘疾人意識。加強合作意識、陶冶情操,培養(yǎng)正確的審美觀和價值觀。

教學(xué)重點與難點
1.教學(xué)重點:
理解殘疾人身殘志堅,以積極的態(tài)度快樂生活的故事,提高學(xué)生理解、尊重和關(guān)心他人的意識。
2.教學(xué)難點:
幫助學(xué)生理解殘疾人所面臨的種種困難,增強學(xué)生的同情心與愛心,引導(dǎo)他們珍惜時間,珍惜生活。
教學(xué)方法
1.任務(wù)型教學(xué)法
本課選擇任務(wù)型教學(xué),如要求學(xué)生課前預(yù)習(xí)閱讀文章,課堂進行小組討論,填寫信息表及概括段落大意等,培養(yǎng)和強化學(xué)生的語言實踐能力和自主學(xué)習(xí)能力。
2.多媒體輔助教學(xué)法
利用多媒體展示相關(guān)圖片及播放影片,激發(fā)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)興趣,提高課堂教學(xué)效率。
課前準(zhǔn)備
4、布置預(yù)習(xí)任務(wù),要求學(xué)生以學(xué)習(xí)小組為單位在課前通過查閱書籍和英特網(wǎng)等收集殘疾人及其生活、學(xué)習(xí)和工作等的故事。
教學(xué)過程
Step1.Leading in(導(dǎo)入)
從提問入手引出殘疾人的話題,通過觀看影片和猜測游戲讓學(xué)生了解這些殘疾人的頑強意志及其取得的輝煌成就。
1)Ask students a questions
Do you know her name? What’s her disability? What’s she famous for?
Play a video for students to watch. (同時播放《千手觀音》片斷)

Show the pictures of Edison, Stephen Hawking, Beethoven, Hellen Keller and Zhang Haidi.
Step2. Warming up(讀前熱身)
讓學(xué)生將書本上的四幅圖對應(yīng)的人物與其取得的成就進行配對。讓他們了解殘疾的種類,簡短地討論各種殘疾給人們的生活帶來的種種不便。盡管如此,仍然有許多殘疾人在不同領(lǐng)域取得了非凡成就,為本單元的Reading部分精彩故事做
