、ow that________. A.volunteering benefits job hunters and the society B.people wish to work for free C.volunteering adds difficulty to employment D.volunteer experience is far from satisfactory 答案: Ⅰ.
sooner or later遲早;what’s more此外,而且;as a result結(jié)果……;more or less或多或少。 go away離開;go out出去,熄滅;go over過來,溫習(xí);go by時(shí)間過去,流逝。 in fact實(shí)際上,ot
in the 1970s=in the 1970’s 20世紀(jì)70年代,in one’s+數(shù)詞復(fù)數(shù),表示某人多少歲時(shí)。 7.A such...that引導(dǎo)結(jié)果狀語從句,意為“如此…… after all畢竟,終究,as a re
、sult結(jié)果,in other words換句話說,as usual像往常一樣,根據(jù)語意“人們對于Kaven可能有不同看法,但我敬慕她,畢竟她是個(gè)偉大的音樂家”,選擇A項(xiàng)。 10.B deal with處理、對付。make use of利用;come up with提出;go through經(jīng)歷、遭受。
12.C as后跟句子,with后跟短語,但B項(xiàng)中的passing out意為:“死、出去、分發(fā)”等,意思不對。 13.D solved解決。另外“在某人的幫助下”用with the help of sb.來表達(dá)。 14.C signal sb.to do sth. 由let/make sb.do sth.
1.D 從上句“a shabby homeless lady came walking towards me”可知,她在向路過的人討錢。D.乞求;A.打招呼;B.表揚(yáng);C. 2.A 從第二段第二句“...for the spare change I had”可知,她在向路人乞討錢。 A.往
、常的;B.當(dāng)即的;C.最后的;D. 4.C 從上句“...hope she didn’t come near me,but she did.” A. 6.C 從下文“I’m sorry,I’m sorry.I’ll leave”可知,她說:“我打擾(annoying)你了?!? 7.B 根據(jù)句意可知正常的說,“我”應(yīng)該感到放松,滿意。
B.出現(xiàn);C.喜歡;D. 9.C 從下文“I started searching through my entire purse,...” A. 12.B 從上文“She held my hand...”
A. 15.A 從前文“Will you touch my face?...I did.” A.
make sense of理解,明白。 C項(xiàng)中“gain work experience or learn new skills”是結(jié)果而非原因,故錯(cuò)誤。
