5、Step Ⅱ 1a This activity introduces the key vocabulary and trains the students to express preferences with the relative clause. Ask the students to open their textbooks now. Read the instructions of Activity 1a to the students. Step Ⅲ 1b This activity gives students practice in understanding the

6、 target language in spoken conversation. Say, we will hear Tony and Betty talking about the kinds of music each one likes. Let’s see the instructions first. Read the instructions to the students. Tell them to tick (√) the right statements while they are listening. Read the three headings before pl

Step Ⅱ 2a This activity provides listening practice using the tar

11、get language. Read the instructions to the students and make sure that they know what to do. Go over the four items in the box with the children. Tell them that relative clause with who is used to introduce a person. Explain the new key word gentle to the students. Tell them gentle means quiet, ca

12、reful, not rough or violent using Chinese if necessary. Tell the children that we are going to hear a boy and a girl talking about the music and musicians they like. Play the recording. Students only listen the first time. Play the tape again. Ask the students to circle T for true and F for false.
