2019-2020年高一英語(yǔ)上冊(cè) nit2 English around the world(第五課時(shí))教案 大綱人教版第一冊(cè) Teaching Aims: 1. Go over the grammar-the Direct Speech and the Indirect Speech, pointing out and correcting the mistakes that the students often make in changing the Direct Speech into the Indirect Speech. 2. Summarize the changes of the pronouns, tenses, adverbials in turning the Direct Speech into the Indirect Speech. Teaching Important Points: 1. By doing a lot of practice, let the students know how to use an infinitive to express one’s order or request in the Indirect Speech. 2. By doing plenty of exercises, let the students know how to make a statement correctly in the Indirect Speech. Teaching Difficult Points: 1. Let the students know how to tell the difference between an order and a request. 2. Let the students know how to change the pronouns when turning the Direct Speech into the Indirect Speech. Teaching Methods: Review, explanation, inductive methods Teaching Aids: 1. a puter 2.a blackboard Teaching Procedures; FStep I Greetings Greet the whole class as usual FStep II Revision (Teacher shows some sentences on the screen) 1. “Please open the window,” the teacher said to Li Ming. 2. “Dont play games in the classroom,” the monitor said to us. 3. He asked, “Where are you going to get off, John?” 4. He said to me, “You are wrong.” 5. “Are you a Party member?” he asked. 6. “A sport meet will be held in our school next week,” Li Mei said to her parents. T: There are some sentences on it. They are all direct speeches. Now Ill ask some students to turn them into indirect speech. (Six students are asked to write their answers on the blackboard. Then the teacher checks them and points out the mistakes. ) T: The first sentence is a request. So you should use the verb “asked” before the object “Li Ming”. The second one is an order, so you can use the verb “told”or “ordered” before the objects. That is, you should judge the mood of the direct speech and then decide whether it is a request or an order. Are you clear about that? Ss: Yes. T: OK. Look at the last four sentences. The direct speech includes two statements and two questions. We know, an object clause can be used here in changing the Direct Speech into the Indirect Speech. But we must pay attention to the changes of the pronouns, the tenses and the adverbials when we change the Direct Speech into the Indirect Speech. Answers: 1. The teacher asked Li Ming to open the window. 2. The monitor told us not to play games in the classroom 3. He asked John where he was going to get off. 4. He told me that I was wrong. 5. He asked me if/whether I was a Party member. 6. Li Mei told her parents that a sports meet would be held the next week. FStep III Presentation T: From the mistakes you have made, I can see that you havent made clear the changes of tenses and the adverbial when changing the Direct Speech into the Indirect Speech. Now look at the screen. Lets have a summary and try to learn them by heart. The changes of the Tenses Direet Speech: The Present Indefinite The Present Continuous The Future Indefinite The Past Indefinite The Present Perfect The Past Perfect Indireet Speech The Past Indefinite The Past Continuous The Past Future The Past Perfect The Past Perfect The Past Perfect The Changes of the Adverbials: Direct Speech Indirect Speech this that these those now then today that day yesterday the day before tomorrow the next/following day last night the night before this morning that morning next year the next year three days ago three days before here there T: There is something else I must tell you, only when the main clause is the past tens can we change the tense in the clause FStep IV Practice and Explanation T: If we remember all these changes in the two tables. I think you won’t make mistakes in the tenses and adverbials, But for the pronouns, you should change them according to the different situation. In a word, you must make others understand you. Now look at the sentence on the blackboard. (Bb: “Please tell me your telephone number, Li Mei,” Yang Pei said. Can you turn this sentence into indirect speech? S1: Let me try. T: Now lets do more exercises so that we can use the Indirect Speech freely and correctly. Look at the screen, please. Correct the mistakes in the following Indirect Speech. 1.
