You should do your homework for oneself．你應該獨立完成作業(yè)。 One cant do such a thing for oneself．這樣的事一個人是做不來的。 歸納拓展 for oneself強調(diào)獨自做某事，無人幫忙。注意：它與in oneself / by oneself / of ones

5、，真讓我驚奇。 歸納拓展 amaze為動詞：對……驚奇，對……感到驚訝。類似的詞有：surprise，shock，astonish等。常用結(jié)構(gòu)：be amazed at／by；be amazed to；be amazed that。 amazing／amazed均為形容詞，注意區(qū)別意義。 4. manage to設法做到；設法完成 觀察示例 She fell off a ladder and even though Tony was in the next room，he managed to catch her．她從梯子上摔了下來，雖然Tony在隔壁房間里，他還是設法接住了她。

8、e...than與其……不如… 6.leave... alone讓……獨自待著；不打擾，不干預 觀察示例 She shouted “Leave me alone” and ran to her bed．她喊著“別管我”，然后跑向自己的床。 I told him to leave my things alone．我告訴他別亂動我的東西。 Please leave my personal affairs alone．請別管我的私事。 歸納拓展 leave．．．a(chǎn)lone不管、不顧、不干涉，類似短語有： leave．．．behind／1eave out／leave off等。 lea

10、 protect．．．from／against sth．保護、防止。既可以指防御敵人的攻擊，又可指防御自然界的損害。如風雨、日照、寒冷、炎熱、疾病等。 特別提示 注意與prevent．．．from的區(qū)分。前者主要強調(diào)“保護”，而后者主要強調(diào)“阻止”。 8．search for尋找、搜尋 觀察示例 ．．．a(chǎn)nd an amazing mind with which he searched for explanations of everything in the past， (Asimov)還擁有驚人的智慧，用來探尋對目前和過去一切事的解釋。 The police searched

11、 the prisoner to see if he had a gun． 警察搜了那個囚犯的身，看他是否有槍。 He searched every corner for the missing cat．他搜遍了每個角落來找丟失的貓。 歸納拓展 search既可以作及物動詞又可作不及物動詞。作及物動詞意思是“搜(身)檢查”；作不及物動詞是“尋找、搜尋”的意思。固定搭配為：search．．．for；search for．．．；in search of．．．均有“尋找”的意思。 9．take...seriously嚴肅對待、認真對待 觀察示例 This really surprise
