2019年高考英語一輪總復(fù)習(xí) Unit 3 A healthy life課時作業(yè) 新人教版選修6 Ⅰ.閱讀理解 A (xx天津卷) When asked about happiness,we usually think of something extraordinary,an absolute delight, which seems to get rarer the older we get. For kids, happiness has a magical quality.Their delight at winning a race or getting a new bike is unreserved(毫無掩飾的). In the teenage years the concept of happiness changes.Suddenly its conditional on such things as excitement, love and popularity.I can still recall the excitement of being invited to dance with the most attractive boy at the school party. In adulthood the things that bring deep joy—love, marriage, birth—also bring responsibility and the risk of loss. For adults, happiness is plicated(復(fù)雜的). My definition of happiness is“the capacity for enjoyment”.The more we can enjoy what we have, the happier we are.Its easy to overlook the pleasure we get from the pany of friends, the freedom to live where we please, and even good health. I experienced my little moments of pleasure yesterday.First I was overjoyed when I shut the last lunch-box and had the house to myself. Then I spent an uninterrupted morning writing, which I love. When the kids and my husband came home,I enjoyed their noise after the quiet of the day. Psychologists tell us that to be happy we need a mix of enjoyable leisure time and satisfying work.I dont think that my grandmother, who raised 14 children, had much of either. She did have a network of close friends and family, and maybe this is what satisfied her. We,however, with so many choices and such pressure to succeed in every area, have turned happiness into one more thing weve got to have. Were so self-conscious about our “right”to it that its making us miserable. So we chase it and equal it with wealth and success, without noticing that the people who have those things arent necessarily happier. Happiness isnt about what happens to us—its about how we see what happens to us.Its the skillful way of finding a positive for every negative. Its not wishing for what we dont have, but enjoying what we do possess. [文章大意]快樂與事情本身沒有關(guān)系,與我們怎樣看待事情有關(guān)。珍惜我們所擁有的,滿足感會讓我們感到幸福、快樂。 1.As people grow older,they________. Many of Gershwins songs were first written for musical plays performed in theatres in New York City. These plays were a popular form of entertainment in the 1920s and 1930s.Many of his songs have remained popular as ever.Over the years they have been sung and played in every possible way — from jazz to country. In the 1920s there was a debate in the United States about jazz music.Could jazz, some people asked,be considered serious music? In 1924 jazz musician and orchestra leader Paul Whiteman decided to organize a special concert to show that jazz was serious music.Gershwin agreed to pose something for the concert before he realized he had just a few weeks to do it.And in that short time,he posed a piece for piano and orchestra which he called Rhapsody in Blue.Gershwin himself played the piano at the concert. The audience were thrilled when they heard his music. It made him worldfamous and showed that jazz music could be both serious and popular. In 1928,Gershwin went to Paris. He applied to study position (作曲)with the wellknown musician Nadia Boulanger, but she rejected him.She was afraid that classical study would ruin his jazzinfluenced style. While there,Gershwin wrote An American in Paris. When it was first performed, critics (評論家)were divided over the music. Some called it happy and full of life,to others it was silly and boring. But it quickly became popular in Europe and the United States. It still remains one of his most famous works. George Gershwin died in 1937,just days after doctors learned he had brain cancer. He was only thirtynine years old.Newspapers all over the world reported his death on their front pages.People mourned the loss of the man and all the music he might have still written. Brace yourself for impact (撞擊力).As soon as youre aware that youre going off the road and into a body of water, adopt a brace position. The impact could set off the airbag system in your vehicle,so you should place both hands on the steering wheel in the “ten and two” position. Undo your seatbelt.__22__ Untie the children, starting with the oldest first.Forget the cell phone call.Your car isnt going to wait for you to make the call. __23__ Leave the door alone at this stage and concentrate on the window.A cars electrical system should work for up to three minutes in water,so try the method of opening it electronically first. Many people dont think about the window as an escape option either because of panic or misinformation about doors and sinking. Break the window. If you arent able to open the window,or it only opens halfway, youll need to break it with an object or your foot.It may feel counter-intuitive (有悖常理的) to let water into the car.__24__ Escape when the car has equalized. If it has reached the dramatic stage where the car cabin has been filled with water and it has bee balanced, you must move quickly and effectively to ensure your survival.__25__ While there is still air in the car, take slow, deep breaths and focus on what youre doing. A.Open the window as soon as you hit the water. B.Surviving a sinking car is not as difficult as you think. C.It takes 60 to 120 seconds for a car to fill up with water usually. D.Such accidents are particularly dangerous to the risk of drowning. E.In conclusion,if you know what to do in the water, you will be safe. F.This is the first thing to attend to,yet it often gets forgotten in the panic. G.But the sooner the window is open, the sooner you can escape directly through it. 答案:21.D 22.F 23.A 24.G 25.C- 1.請仔細閱讀文檔,確保文檔完整性,對于不預(yù)覽、不比對內(nèi)容而直接下載帶來的問題本站不予受理。
