To learn and understand the topic words through talking and listening. 2. To understand the conversation. 3. To write health advice to people. Teaching points: 1. Difficult points: how to understand the conversation Teaching method: PWP approach Teaching aids: Some flashcards, tape recorder, video picture etc. Teaching procedure: Step 1. Revision Greetings Check the homework. Ask students to revise the parts of body. Step 2. Presentation Look at the picture and answer the questions. “What’s happened?” “Do you think the person is hurt?” “What do you think he has done to himself?” Step 3. Work in pairs Make students listen and answer the questions. Use the words in the box to help. Then have a check. Step 4. Listen and read 1. Listen to the tape and answer the question: “what happened to Daming?” Have a check. 2. Then listen to the tape the second time, plete the accident report. Then listen and have a check. 3. Make students read the conversation carefully, answer the questions on page 49. Let students work in groups. Discuss the questions if necessary. 4. Make students read the conversation again, plete the sentences in their own words. The teacher has a check. Step 5. Pronunciation and speaking 1. Play the tape. Let the students listen to the students and repeat. 2. Say these sentences aloud. Make sure you pause in the correct places. Then listen and check. 3. Work in pairs.
