Improve the students’ reading and writing abilities according to the reading materials. 2. Do more reading to raise the ability of speaking. 3. 掌握句型It takes sb. some time to do sth.的用法。 4. 掌握不規(guī)則動(dòng)詞的過去式。 文化意識(shí): 了解英美文化,培養(yǎng)對(duì)不同文化的興趣,及熱愛生活、享受生活的樂觀態(tài)度。 Teaching aids: puter, video, recorder Teaching periods: Period 1: Unit 1 Period 2: Unit 2 Period 3: Unit 3 Unit 1 I went to Los Angeles two years ago Teaching aims: 1. To understand conversations about holiday journeys. 2. To process main information of holiday experience. 3. To talk about holiday journeys. 4. Grasp the most important words and expressions: Key vocabulary: spend, hope, meet, visit, relax, journey, tired, on holiday, have a great time, ect. Target languages: 1) When did Betty go to Los Angeles on holiday? 2) How long did it take her? 3) Where did she go? 4) Who met her at the airport? 5) How long did they spend in Los Angeles? 6) What did they see? 7) Where did they go swimming? 5. Train the speaking and listening abilities. Teaching importance: 1. Key words: on holiday, journey, have a great time, meet, spend 2. Key structures: Past simple irregular verbs Step 2. Listening Listen and follow Betty’s journey. Listen carefully and answer some questions. Step 3. Answer the questions Work in groups, try to answer these questions. On holiday: 1. When did Betty go to Los Angeles on holiday? 2. How long did it take her? 3. Where did she go? 4. Who met her at the airport? 5. How long did they spend in Los Angeles? 6. What did they see? 7. Where did they go swimming? Check the answers. Step 4. Match these words Match these words with words in the passage. go get have leave meet see spend swim take Step 5. Learning to learn Some verbs have an irregular past simple: go—went. Remember to write them down when you see them in a passage. Step 6. Grammar 一、概念:表示過去發(fā)生的動(dòng)作或存在的狀況,常與表示過去的時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)連用, 如:Yesterday, last year, three days ago, in 1990, before liberation … 二、構(gòu)成:由動(dòng)詞的過去式來表示。 (一)規(guī)則動(dòng)詞的過去式 1. 在動(dòng)詞后加-ed或-d worked stayed wanted lived 2. “輔音字母+ y”結(jié)尾的動(dòng)詞先將 y 變?yōu)?i ,再加 -ed。 如: studied, tried 3. 重讀閉音節(jié)或r音節(jié)結(jié)尾而末尾只有一個(gè)輔音字母的動(dòng)詞,先雙寫輔音字母再加 -ed(以x結(jié)尾的詞除外),如: stop—stopped, plan—planned, permit—permitted (二)不規(guī)則動(dòng)詞的過去式 1. begin—began drink—drank e—came eat—ate grow—grew run—ran know—knew say—said win—won speak—spoke take—took write—wrote get—got 2. 變?cè)~尾的 – d 為 – t build—built lend—lent send—sent spend—spent 3. 與動(dòng)詞原形一樣: cut—cut put—put cost—cost hurt—hurt shut—shut 4. 變-ay 為-aid (少數(shù)動(dòng)詞) say—said pay—paid 5. 采用不同詞根: e—came be—was (I, he, she, it );were sell—sold teach—taught buy—bought Step 5. pare 一般過去時(shí)表示的動(dòng)作或狀態(tài)都已成為過去,現(xiàn)已不復(fù)存在。 Christine was an invalid all her life. (含義:她已不在人間。) Christine has been an invalid all her life. (含義:她現(xiàn)在還活著) Mrs. Darby lived in Kentucky for seven years. (含義:達(dá)比太太已不再住在肯塔基州。) Mrs. Darby has lived in Kentucky for seven years. (含義:現(xiàn)在還住在肯塔基州,有可能指剛離去) Step 6. 日常交際用語(yǔ): Is this your first visit to…? How many…were there…? There was /were… Was/were there…? They got married in… Step 7. pare 比較下列句子的區(qū)別,總結(jié)出兩種時(shí)態(tài)在意義上和在結(jié)構(gòu)上的區(qū)別。 (1)There is a book on the desk. There was a book on the desk a moment ago.
