Unit 8 It must belong to Carla 教學(xué) 目標(biāo) 知識(shí)與技能: 1. 復(fù)習(xí)情態(tài)動(dòng)詞表推測(cè)的用法,短語(yǔ)。 2. 學(xué)會(huì)用情態(tài)動(dòng)詞來(lái)推測(cè). 過(guò)程與方法: 讀與寫(xiě)相結(jié)合,最后落實(shí)到寫(xiě)作上。 情感態(tài)度價(jià)值觀: 讓學(xué)生根據(jù)已有事實(shí)推測(cè)可能性。面對(duì)暫時(shí)不可解釋的事情,不信謠不傳謠。 教學(xué)方法 有條理地寫(xiě)出事件發(fā)生過(guò)程和事件發(fā)展可能性。 學(xué)習(xí)方法 小組學(xué)習(xí)激發(fā)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)的興趣和參與課堂活動(dòng)的積極性 教學(xué)準(zhǔn)備 Textbook, PPT 教 學(xué) 過(guò) 程 設(shè)計(jì)意圖 Step 1 Greetings Greet the students as usual. Step 2 Review 1. Have a dictation of the new words and expressions. 2. Review the main phrases and sentences. 1) 屬于 belong to 2) 最喜愛(ài)的作家 favorite writer 3) 怎么啦? Tell students to read through the article in 3a on page 59 again. And answer the following questions. What do you think the noise could be? Why do you think that? What could the noises be? Why do you think so? 2. Then talk with a partner about your inferences and reasons. 3. Let students tell out their answers. Step 4 Writing Work on 3b 1. Tell students what they should do. Look at this newspaper headline and finish the article about the strange happenings. No More Mystery in the Neighborhood Last week, in a quiet neighborhood, something strange happened... We now know what was happening in the neighborhood... Now the mystery is solved. People in the neighborhood... Writing tips: First part: background information about the mystery Second part: how the mystery was solved Third part: how the people in the neighborhood now feel 2. 寫(xiě)作指導(dǎo) 單元話題分析:根據(jù)一些依據(jù)或者現(xiàn)象進(jìn)一步判斷出一個(gè)結(jié)論。本單元的重點(diǎn)就是談?wù)摬聹y(cè)和判斷。 用情態(tài)動(dòng)詞表達(dá)猜測(cè)或判斷,常見(jiàn)的有: must, may, might, could和cant等詞。情態(tài)動(dòng)詞表示推測(cè),可能性從小到大依次為:cant, might, may, could, must. 本單元話題涉及多種時(shí)態(tài),因此要注意時(shí)態(tài)的正確使用。 3. Students try to write a short article. Step 5 Self Check Work on Self Check 1 1. Let students read the sentences in Self Check 1. Then students try to fill in the blanks with the correct words in the box. Fill in the blanks with must, might, or cant. 2. Let some students read their answers. Check the answers with the students. Work on Self Check 2 1. Tell students to write sentences for the things below. They should write sentences by using the chart. 2. Understand the example. students try to plete the sentences by themselves. 1) DVD It can’t be Mike’s. He doesnt like to watch movies. 2) bowl of ice-cream _________________________________ 3) camera _________________________________ 4) cookbook _________________________________ 5) tennis ball _________________________________ 6) running shoes _________________________________ 3. Let some students read their sentences to the class. 4. Correct the mistakes they have. 5.Give some possible sentences. Step 6 Homework Sum up what they have learned in this unit. Make students be interested in and get involved in the this class and revise what have learned in the last class.
