Starter Unit 3 What’s color is it? I.教學設計分析 本單元的話題為“物品的顏色”,繼續(xù)學習字母S至Z,并集中回顧、梳理26個英語字母的讀音、順序和寫法,總結5個元音字母的發(fā)音。在語言功能方面,涉及關于顏色的8個單詞,以及詢問和描述顏色的句型,同時結合前兩個單元內容,進行靈活運用。 單元內容整合:1課時完成兩部分:第一部分包括1a-1c和3a-3d,通過創(chuàng)設情境,引導學生用英語詢問和描述物品顏色,并結合上一單元“詢問物品”的功能句型進行情景練習。第二部分包括2a-2e, 4a-4d, 是進行字母和語音教學,通過聽音、模仿,發(fā)現讀音規(guī)律。 本單元引入了“請求單詞拼寫”的用語,這是英語學習從小學向初中過渡的對于“寫”的要求的一個重要起點:準確拼寫、規(guī)范書寫。是英語學習習慣的養(yǎng)成基礎。 II. The First Period 1a-1c and 3a-3d I. Teaching aims 1. Master the sentence: What color is it? It’s red . 2. Be able to ask things’ color. 3. Learn the meaning of some abbreviations. 4. Develop students’ interest in English. II. Key points 2. Be able to use the sentence: What color is it? It’s red . Difficult point Be able to use the sentence: What color is it? It’s red . III. Teaching aids Multimedia/A tape recorder/A blackboard/ A ruler IV. Teaching procedures Step 1 Warm-up 1. Warming- up and revision 1)Greet students one another. Get one thing from a student and ask “What’s this/that?” and “ What color is it?” Step 2 Presentation 1. Do (1a, 1b) 1) Show the picture in 1a, and guide students to listen and repeat, and then find write the letter for each color. Guide students to practice the conversations and make their own ones. 2. Do 1c Group petition: Practice asking and answering question “What color is it?” Have groups try to find the things in different colors and then make conversations in limited time,while other groups write down the sentences. Step 3 Practice 1) Do (3a, 3b, 3c) Guide students to listen and color the things, plete the sentences and the chart. Help students listen for the key words. Help students make a difference between a and an. Make conversations using the information in 3a-3c. Step 4 Consolidation 1. Do 3d 1) T:Look at the picture of a bedroom, what’s this in English? T:Spell it, please. S:B—E—D T:What color is it? S:Its yellow. 2) Guide students to practice the conversations and make their own ones. 2. Do exercises Step 5 Summary In this period, we’ve learned color. And “What color is it? It’s red.” Step 6 Homework 1. Copy the six words of colors twice. 2. Preview the next period. V. A guessing game : T : I spy a color . It begins with “r”. What color is it ? S1 : I know it’s red. S1: I spy a color . It begins with “y”. What color is it ? S2 : I know it’s yellow. S2: I spy a color . It begins with …. What color is it ? S3: I know it’s …. 2.A spelling game : T : What’s this color? It begins with “b”. ( T 在黑板上板書 b ) S: Is there an “l(fā)” in this word ? T : Yes , there is . S : Is there a “u” in this word ? T : Yes , there is. S : Ah, I know it’s blue. T : What’s this color ? It ends with “w” . …. T :There is an “ a ” in the middle. Step 2 Presentation 1. work on (2a-2e) Show students the correct writing orders and structures of the letters S-Z. on slides. Dictate some abbreviations in 2e, and ask students to write them down and guess the meaning. Step 3 Practice 1. Do (4a-4d) Get students to 4a and 4b Get students to listen and repeat the pronunciation of letter A, E, I, O, U. Guide students to summarize the pronouncing rules of A, E, I, O,U in words. Step 4 Consolidation 1. Revise 26 letters . T : Look at the letter cards and read aloud like this : 2. Pronounce the 26 letters. T : Now this read the letters like this : a [ei] / b [b]+[ i:]→[ bi:] / c [s] +[ i:]→[si:] / d [d]+[ i:]→[ di:] / f [e] + [f]→[ef] / …. ( T helps Ss to say and pronounce the 26 letters .) 3. T : Now let’s play a game “ Grouping the letters ” Get 26 students with 26 “l(fā)etter caps “ on their heads to e to the blackboard one by one . Others read aloud the letters . Then arrange the 26 students into 7 different groups containing the same sounds . They are [ei] [ i:][e] [ai] [ju:] [эu] and [ɑ:]. ( copy these sounds on blackboard.) Aa Hh Jj Kk Bb Cc Dd Ee Gg Pp Tt Vv Ff Ll Mm Nn Ss Xx Zz Ii Yy Uu Qq Ww Oo Rr Tell Ss to memorize the chart in the way of pronouncing the 26 letters. Get Ss to arrange their own 26 cards into 7 groups on their desks. Step 5 Summary In this period, we’ve learned letters and pronunciation of a, e, i, o,u in the open syllable and closed syllable.
