2019-2020年北師大版高中英語(yǔ)必修1 Unit 2《Heroes》(munitation workshop)英文教案 Teaching aims: To prepare for a discussion by making notes. To write a narrative in three paragraphs. To develop self-assessment of speaking and writing skills Teaching difficulties: To write a narrative in three paragraphs Teaching Aids: puter and cassette Teaching procedures: First talk about some famous athletes such as: Ma Lin, A table tennis player Guo Jingjing, A diver. Liu Xiang, A hurdler. Gao Ling, A badminton player How much do you know about them? Some background knowledge about them Ma Lin(馬林): He was born in Shenyang, Liaoning Province. He started to play table tennis at an early age of 6 and was inducted (吸收) into the national team in 1994 when he was only 14. He won the 2000 World Cup to bee China’s first men’s singles world champion. In the 2004 Athens Olympic Games(雅典奧運(yùn)會(huì)), Chen Qi & Ma Lin, known as China’s new “golden pair”(黃金搭檔), won the mixed doubles (混合雙打)and became the Olympic Champion. At present, he is considered to be the strongest player in the world. Liu Xiang(劉翔): He, the 21-year-old Shanghai native, is considered to be a hero, a superhero. He is the pride of China. Because he is the first Chinese athlete to take Olympic gold in the short distance race, which used to be dominated (占據(jù)) by Americans and Europeans. He also became the first Asian(亞洲人) in history to win the men’s 110m hurdles (男子110米跳欄)at the Olympic Games in Athens on Friday, Aug. 27, 2004. Gao Ling(高凌): She took up badminton in Wuhan at age of 6, and began regular training in Hubei provincial sports school in 1989 and joined the national team in February 1997. She and Zhang Jun(張軍) became the Olympic champion of the mixed doubles in the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games (悉尼奧運(yùn)會(huì)). Again, Gao Ling and Zhang Jun won the mixed doubles and became the Olympic champion in the 2004 Athens Olympic Games Guo Jingjing(郭晶晶): She was born in the province of Hubei. She won diving petitions at every level as a youngster(少年), and has won almost every honor available in the world of diving. In the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, she became the Olympic champion of women’s singles and she and Wu Minxia won the Olympic gold of the women’s doubles in Athens. Ⅱ Discussion First study the Speaking strategies, then ask the question: What do you think when you got the information of them? Give students enough time to work in pairs Ask student to talk about their opinions about them. Do you want to know others remarks? Now let’s listen to the cassette. Do the exercise 2 Ⅲ Writing Ask student to read the article “True Life Drama” on page 90 to make preparation to write a story. Guide students to draw the following conclusion. 1.Setting the scene (設(shè)置背景,交代時(shí)間,地點(diǎn),人物,事件起因等) 2.Development of narrative (描述事情發(fā)生經(jīng)過(guò)) 3.Conclusion (故事結(jié)局,及個(gè)人感悟) Ask students to practise making up the story “Woman saves boy from icy river” Ⅳ Relaxing * Listen to the song “James Dean” by the Eagles, * And plete the blanks.
