1、Module 7 My past life 語法精選 1. strict 嚴(yán)格的；嚴(yán)厲的 strict作形容詞，意為“嚴(yán)格的；嚴(yán)厲的”，在句中既可以作表語，也可以作定語。如： ①My mother is always very strict. 我的媽媽總是很嚴(yán)格。 ②Mr Smith is a very strict teacher. 史密斯先生是一個非常嚴(yán)格的老師。 strict還常用于以下短語： （1）be strict with sb. 意為“對某人要求嚴(yán)格”。如： The teacher is always strict with us. 老師對我們總是要求嚴(yán)格

2、。 （2）be strict in sth. 意為“對某事要求嚴(yán)格”。如： Linda is always strict in her work. 琳達對她的工作總是要求嚴(yán)格。 2. with 帶有；具有 There was a big living room with a TV. 這兒有一間帶電視的大起居室。 上面例句中的with a TV是介詞短語，在句中作定語，修飾a big living room。with意為“帶有；具有”。如： I have a house with a swimming pool. 我有一所帶游泳池的房子。 句法精析 1. Where wer

3、e you born? 你在哪里出生？ be born意為“出生”，并且動詞be常常用過去式was或were。be born后面可跟不同的介詞短語，表示出生的時間、地點。如： ①When were you born? 你何時出生？ ②Li Gang was born in Beijing. 李剛在北京出生。 ③He was born on February 12th, 1999. 他在1999年2月12日出生。 2. What were they like? 他們怎么樣？ What+be+sb.+like?意為“某人怎么樣”，用來詢問某人的性格特點，常用nice, fri

4、endly, kind等表示性格特點的形容詞回答。如： —What is Tom like? 湯姆怎么樣？ —He is friendly. 他很友好。 與這個問句類似的還有： What+do/does+sb.+look like?用來詢問某人的外表、長相，常用tall（高的）, short（矮的）, fat（胖的）, thin（瘦的）, good?鄄looking（好看的）等表示外形相貌特點的形容詞回答。如： —What does Susan look like? 蘇珊長得怎么樣？ —She is thin. 她很瘦。 3. It was great to play t

5、here. 在那里玩是很棒的。 此句是英語中的常用句型，其結(jié)構(gòu)為：It+be+adj.+to do sth.。其中it為形式主語，不定式短語to do sth.為句子真正的主語，意為“做某事是……的”。如： It was difficult to finish the work. 要完成這項工作很困難。 語法精講 一般過去時（一） be動詞的一般過去時 （1）概念：一般過去時表示過去某個時間里發(fā)生的動作、狀態(tài)或是過去習(xí)慣性、經(jīng)常性的動作、行為。 （2）be動詞的一般過去時的基本結(jié)構(gòu) ①肯定句：主語+was/were+其他。 ②否定句：主語+was/were+not+其他

6、。 ③一般疑問句：Were/Was+主語+其他？ （3）be動詞的過去式，如下表： 原形 am is are 否定（縮略）式 am not isn’t aren’t 過去式 was was were 否定縮略式 wasn’t wasn’t weren’t （4）一般過去時表示過去發(fā)生的動作或存在的狀態(tài)，所以一般與表示過去的一些時間狀語連用。如：yesterday, last night／week／month／year, last Saturday, the day before yesterday, in 1998, five year
