Present today’s task Today We’ll read a text The Personal Qualities of a teacher Step Two While -Reading Tell the Ss something about scanning and skimming Today we will use scanning and skimming to read the text. Skimming is a type of rapid reading which is used to get the main idea or ideas Scanning is used to locate some specific information without understanding the whole passage. 2.Let the Ss to use the scanning skills Let The Ss to read No.1 and understand the requirement Let the Ss to use Scanning skills to read the text Then answer questions of Exercise 1 choose the best answers Tell them this time it’s not necessary to complete reading,only finding the necessary information is Ok. Let them to check in pairs then teacher corrects it . 3. Skimming: Let the Ss to skim the text and retell the text with the help of the following: Firstly ……attractive Secondly………sympathetic…..telerant Thirdly……..lively and interesting Fourthly…….patience Finally………cooperation 4.
