111 云南省開(kāi)遠(yuǎn)四中高中英語(yǔ)必修二《Unit2 The Olympic Games》教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì) Unit 2 The Olympic Games Reading —— An Interview 教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì) 一、教材分析: 1.教材概述 本單元以世界性的體育盛會(huì)──Olympic Games 為話題,旨在通過(guò)本單元的教學(xué),使學(xué)生了解奧運(yùn)會(huì)的起源、宗旨、比賽項(xiàng)目以及古現(xiàn)代奧運(yùn)會(huì)的異同。這一課時(shí)主要圍繞閱讀部分講解,文章通過(guò)一個(gè)虛擬的采訪——兩千年前古希臘作家帕薩尼亞斯與一位當(dāng)代女孩李燕的對(duì)話,向?qū)W生介紹了古今奧運(yùn)會(huì)的異同及奧運(yùn)會(huì)的一些基本情況。 2.教學(xué)目標(biāo) 1).知識(shí)目標(biāo): 學(xué)習(xí)掌握有關(guān)奧運(yùn)會(huì)和文中涉及的詞匯,如:compete,competitor, medal, Greece, Greek, athlete, stadium, gymnasium;host, magical, interview, admit, a set of, as well as等。 學(xué)習(xí)掌握一些用于討論奧運(yùn)會(huì)的結(jié)構(gòu)句式,如: What are the similarities and differences about the ancient and modern Olympics? 2).技能目標(biāo) 通過(guò)skimming, scanning, careful-reading,generalization等閱讀技能訓(xùn)練,讓學(xué)生進(jìn)一步熟悉和掌握一些閱讀技巧,獲取關(guān)于奧運(yùn)會(huì)的信息,并培養(yǎng)學(xué)生運(yùn)用信息進(jìn)行推理、判斷的能力。 3).情感目標(biāo): 通過(guò)學(xué)習(xí)奧運(yùn)會(huì)的知識(shí),培養(yǎng)學(xué)生對(duì)體育運(yùn)動(dòng)的熱愛(ài)。學(xué)習(xí)更快,更高,更強(qiáng)的奧運(yùn)精神,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生團(tuán)體合作、努力拼博、積極向上的精神。 3.教學(xué)重點(diǎn) 本課的教學(xué)重點(diǎn)是幫助學(xué)生了解古、今奧運(yùn)會(huì)的異同點(diǎn)和其一些基本情況。 4. 教學(xué)難點(diǎn) 本課的教學(xué)難點(diǎn)是訓(xùn)練學(xué)生獲取信息、分析思考和解決問(wèn)題的能力,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生帶著問(wèn)題去閱讀文章的習(xí)慣。 二、教法學(xué)法分析 1.教法 新課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)強(qiáng)調(diào)了以學(xué)生為主體,教師作為引導(dǎo)者的角色,因此,就本課的學(xué)習(xí),可采用問(wèn)答法,快速閱讀法,討論法,合作學(xué)習(xí)法等多種教學(xué)方法。鑒于本文內(nèi)容會(huì)涉及大量的圖片信息,將借助多媒體的直觀教學(xué)手段和傳統(tǒng)教學(xué)方式相結(jié)合,上一堂趣味性、知識(shí)性融為一體的閱讀課。 2.學(xué)法 課前預(yù)習(xí),搜索奧運(yùn)會(huì)相關(guān)知識(shí),發(fā)揮學(xué)生的自學(xué)能力。 精讀教材,有利于理解文章的重點(diǎn)和難點(diǎn),提高學(xué)習(xí)效率。 課后練習(xí),有助于學(xué)生復(fù)習(xí)課堂知識(shí)點(diǎn),鞏固所學(xué)要點(diǎn),查漏補(bǔ)缺。 三 教學(xué)過(guò)程 Step 1. Lead-in & warming up. 師生互動(dòng): 教師通過(guò)free talk向?qū)W生提出問(wèn)題“Do you like sports? Which sports do you like?”然后通過(guò)多媒體展示一些學(xué)生熟悉并喜歡的體育明星及體育運(yùn)動(dòng)的畫面,從視覺(jué)上激發(fā)學(xué)生對(duì)本話題的興趣,學(xué)生根據(jù)圖片進(jìn)行知識(shí)搶答:Having a competition. Can you speak out the English names of the following sports as quickly as possible? Step2.Pre-reading 老師給出兩個(gè)有關(guān)奧運(yùn)會(huì)的問(wèn)題,What do the five rings stand for? What is the motto(口號(hào)) of the Olympic Games? 學(xué)生一一搶答,從而將學(xué)生引向課文的學(xué)習(xí)。 Step 3. Fast reading 1. 個(gè)人活動(dòng):教師事先預(yù)設(shè)六個(gè)問(wèn)題 要求學(xué)生快速閱讀,并回答這六個(gè)問(wèn)題: Who is Pausanias? What does he want to do ? Who is Li Yan? What are two main sets of Games? How often do we hold the Games? What’s the motto of the Olympics? Step 4. Careful reading 要求學(xué)生read once again,然后討論并回答以下問(wèn)題: 1. Where do all the competitors live? A. A hotel. B. A special village. C. A restaurant. D. Nowhere. 2. Why do so many countries want to host the Olympic Games? A. To develop the economy. B. It is a great honor. C. To make the country famous. D. They want to make money. 3.Which of the following is included in the Winter Olympic Games? A. skiing and ice skating B.running races C. horse riding D. Swimming 4.
