Module1 How to learn English Unit1 Let’s try to speak English as much as possible. 教學(xué)目標(biāo) 【知識目標(biāo)】 能夠正確使用下列單詞和詞組: dictionary, grammar, letter, look up, make a mistake, understand等。 【能力目標(biāo)】 1、能夠聽懂討論學(xué)習(xí)英語的方法和建議的對話。 2、能夠談?wù)搶W(xué)習(xí)英語的問題并提出自己的建議。 【情感態(tài)度目標(biāo)】 引導(dǎo)學(xué)生回顧以前的英語學(xué)習(xí)方法,與他人分享成功的學(xué)習(xí)經(jīng)驗,反思自己在英語學(xué)習(xí)上的不足,提出有針對性的解決方案和建議。 教學(xué)重難點 【教學(xué)重點】 能夠運用本單元學(xué)習(xí)的詞匯、句型談?wù)撚⒄Z學(xué)習(xí)中的困難并提供建議。 【教學(xué)難點】 學(xué)習(xí)學(xué)好英語的方法,并運用到實際學(xué)習(xí)中。 教學(xué)過程 Step 1. Warming-up Ask the students what they should do in English learning, thus the unit is introduced. 1. Think about. 2. Read the instructions. (activity 1). 3. Check the ones you understand. Step 2. Listening 1. Play the recording 2. Guide the students to catch the main sentences and key words 3. Read the words and phrases. 4. Listen and answer the questions. (Part 2). Step 3. Speaking I. Ask students to work in pairs to practice the dialogue. II. 1. Listen and read (Part3) 2. Listen again and check part4 3. Try to act out part3 4. Make sentences to practice the sentence structure. And then discuss what the sentence structure is like. 5. Listen to Part 3 and complete Part 4 then practice reading the dialogue in groups. Then several should be asked to read in public. At last ask some groups to act out part3. 6. Make sentences using the vocabulary and sentence structure. 7. Check the table and let the students to share their answers and then do part 7. Step 4. Pronunciation Practice students’ pronunciation and speaking. 1. Read the dialogue together with the tape recorder. Then read the sentences of Part 5, with the tape recorder. 2. Read the sentences to let the partner check if the sentences are pronounced in a correct way. Step 5. Speaking Tell students to think some questions and answer them in pairs. Talk about problems in learning English and give advice. Step 6. Important and difficult points advice advice 不可數(shù)名詞, “勸告, 忠告”。一條建議: a piece of advice。常用短語: 1) take one’s advice 聽/采納某人的建議 2) give sb. advice on ... 在……方面給某人建議 3) ask sb. for advice 向某人征求意見 My teacher gave me some advice on English. 我的老師曾在英語方面給我提過一些建議。 If you take my advice, you can pass the test. 如果你聽我的建議, 你會通過這次考試的。 You might ask him for advice on this matter. 這事可以讓他給你參謀一下。 advise v. 常用句式: (1) advise doing sth 建議做某事。 He advised leaving early. 他建議早點動身。 advise不接不定式作賓語。不能說:He advised to leave early. (2) advise sb. to do sth. 建議某人做某事。 We advised them to start early. 我們建議他們及早開始。 (3) advise sb. against doing sth. 勸告某人不要做某事。 He advised her against going out at night. 他勸她晚上不要出去。 Why not do …? = Why don’t you do …? Why not do …? 表示提出某種建議,而不是詢問為什么不做某事的原因。 Why not / Why don’t you read a newspaper in English? 你為什么不讀英文版的報紙呢? 1) -- I feel a bit hungry now. -- Why not ______ for dinner with us? A. go B. did you go C. to go D. do you go 考查why not的用法。后接動詞原形,故選A。 2) -- I'm very tired these days because of studying for physics. -- Why not _______ music? It can make you ______. A. listen to; relaxing B. to listen to; to relax C. listening to; relax D. listen to; relax It’s a good idea for sb. to do sth. “對… 來說是個好主意”。 It’s a good idea for you to walk after supper. 對你來說,晚飯后散散步是個好主意?!? How about doing…? = What about doing…? What about / How about doing sth? “做某事怎么樣?” 1) 用來詢問情況或打聽消息等,“……怎么樣?/……如何?”。 How about Mother? Is she all right? 媽媽怎么樣?她好嗎? How about your English exam yesterday? 昨天的英語考得怎么樣? 2) 用來提出請求,建議或征求對方意見,“(你認(rèn)為)……怎么樣? /……如何?” What about a cup of tea? 喝杯茶怎么樣? Of course I’ll come. What about Friday? 我當(dāng)然要來,星期五來如何? What about Father? We can’t just leave him here. 父親怎么辦?我們不能把他丟在這。 try to do ... try to do sth. “努力做某事”。 try to do sth. 和 try doing sth. 的用法 try?to?do?sth. 表示“努力做某事;試圖干…”,強調(diào)付出努力,但不一定成功; try?doing 表示“嘗試做某事,嘗試做…試試”,含有“看結(jié)果如何”之意。 He?didn’t?try?to?do?it. 他不肯努力去做。 Please?try?to?finish?this?work?in?thirty?minutes. 請盡量在30分鐘內(nèi)完成這項工作。 Why?didn't?you?try?riding?a?bike?to?go?to?school? 為什么不試著騎車去學(xué)校呢? --- I?usually?go?there?by?train.? --- Why?not?________?by?boat?for?a?change?? D. try?going agree agree “同意” 用法有: 1) agree to do sth. 同意做某事 2) agree with sb. on sth. 在某方面與某人意見一致 3) agree +從句 反義詞是disagree, 名詞形式是agreement My father agreed with me on it. 在這件事上我爸爸和我意見一致。 They agree that we go to university. 他們都同意我們上大學(xué)。 My mother agrees that I go out to play at the weekend. 我媽媽同意我周末出去玩。 I agree with you on studying. Step 7. Summary The unit is focused on practicing the students’ listening and speaking ability, the vocabulary as well as the sentence structure is hard for the students to grasp. Sufficient examples and drilling are necessary. Step 8. Blackboard design Unit 1 let’s try to speak English as much as possible. Key structures You should always speak English in class. Why not write down the mistakes in our notebooks? It’s a good idea to spell and pronounce new words aloud every day. How about listening to the radio? Step 9. Exercise 一、根據(jù)句意、首字母及漢語提示完成單詞 1.
