Students will learn some nouns related to some job titles. Important points & difficult points: (1). Talk about film to learn new words. (2). Remember the new expressions film industry. Procedure: Step 1: Brainstorming 1. When we talk about a drama, what relevant words do you think of? stage: wings, microphones, curtains, lights, scenery, set cast: director, actors, actresses script: theme, lines, stage direction, acts, scenes others: budget, props, costumes 2. When we talk about films or the film industry, what words or expressions do you think of? cameraman, producer, costume designer, editor, lighting crew, director, actor and actress, … Step 2: Part A Part A Read the handout given at a lecture about the film industry, and pay attention to the following words. on location sound stages backdrop close-up shot wide-angle shot credits score sound effects dubbing on location: real places where the films are shot 實(shí)景拍攝 sound stages: compared to on-location shots, sound stages refer to the made-up film sets in buildings 攝影棚 backdrop: a view of the sky or a city street; it is similar to a background 布景 close-up shot: a photograph taken from very near or a scene in a film shot from nearby, in which the entire screen is filled with one image 特寫鏡頭 wide-angle shot: a photograph taken from far away or a scene in a film shot from far away, when the screen is not focused on one item only 廣角鏡頭 credits: a list appearing at the end of film, including people involved in the film-making and a list of songs heard in the film, as well as other things 片尾字幕，演職員表 score: the music which plays in the background while people are watching a film 電影音樂(lè) sound effects: natural sounds like raindrops, a doorbell or footsteps needed in a film 音響效果 dubbing: recording the dialogue in another language over the original speech in a film so that the film can be shown in another country 配音 Step 3: Part B 1.
