K. 羅琳的圖片。 2配套磁帶或光盤。 教學步驟 A Remending a book Step I導入 1就“閱讀”這個話題與學生交流: (1)Have you read any books recently? (2)What is the name of the book you are reading? (3) Is it a_____________ book? (此處教師可以根據(jù)書名猜測書的類型) (4)What do you think of this book? 2 敖師可以多問幾個學生, 然后總結(jié):You’re interested in different types of books. Now turn to page 57 and see what types of books the Class l, Grade 8 students have read. Step II聽力 l讓學生先快速瀏覽A 1部分的練習, 并在第1 52頁的專有名詞表中查找中文書名, 根據(jù)書名猜測這些圖書分別屬于哪種類別。教師說:Before listening, let’s look at page 152 and find out the Chinese names of the books in Part A1. Then tell me what types of books they are. 2播放錄音, 讓學生根據(jù)錄音內(nèi)容, 將五位學生與其最近所看的書的類別和書名連起來。教師說:Listen to the tape and match each student with the type and name of the book they’ve read. Tapescript Part A1 Millie:Kitty, have you read any good books recently? Kitty:Yes. I love traveling, so Ive just read a book named Notes from a Small Island. The writer talks about his travels around Britain. How about you, Millie? Millie:I read a humorous novel called Three Men in a Boat. It’s the story of three men and a dog. What are you reading, Daniel? Daniel:Im reading a history book named Flags of Our Fathers. It’s one of the best books Ive ever read about World War II. And you, Simon? Simon:Well. I read a book about science—A Brief History of Time, by the famous British scientist Stephen Hawking. What about you, Sandy? Sandy:I’ve just finished reading the novel Moment in Peking by the Chinese writer Lin Yutang. 3 再次播放錄音, 讓學生查漏補缺。 4 教師可就錄音內(nèi)容, 進一步問學生: (1) Which two books are novels? ( Three Men in a Boat and Moment in Peking. ) (2) Who has read the same type of books as Millie? ( Sandy.) Step III呈現(xiàn) 1 教師展示一張《哈利. 波特》圖書的封面圖片, 然后指著封面人物問學生: (1) What do you know about this boy? (2) Who is he? (3) Is he the main character in this book? (4)Who is the writer? (5) Is the Harry Potter series popular? (6)How many books in the Harry Potter series have you ever read? (7) What type of books are they? 2 教師說:It seems that most of you like the Harry Potter series very much. But did you know that when the first Harry Potter book came out, all of the publishing houses refused to publish it? Luckily, one year later, a small publishing house in London accepted it. Now the Harry Potter series has bee a great success. So far, these books have been translated into many languages, such as Chinese, Japanese and French. Each year, millions of copies are sold. Do you want to know more about the books and the writer? OK, let’s listen to Suzy’s introduction. 教師邊說邊 板書劃線部分的生詞, 帶讀兩遍, 確保學生了解生詞的讀音和含義。 Step IV 聽力 1 教師播放A2部分的錄音, 要求學生邊聽邊適當記錄。 Tapescript Part A2 Suzy:Have you heard of the Harry Potter books? They’re a series of novels by J. K. Rowling, a British writer. Rowling was born on 31 July 1 965. As a child, she often wrote stories and read them to her sister. In 1990, while she was on a train trip to London, the idea for the first Harry Potter story came to her. In 1995, Rowling finished the first Harry Potter book, and in xx she finished the seventh book of the series. That’s the last one of the Harry Potter series. The first Harry Potter book wasn’t a success in the beginning. When Rowling wanted to publish the story, all the British publishing houses refused it. That was a difficult time for her. But a year later, a small publishing house in London was willing to accept it. The Harry Potter series has been a great success so far. The books have been translated into about 70 languages, with sales of over 450 million copies, in over 200 countries and areas all over the world. 2提醒學生第一遍聽的時候著重記錄作者的信息, 完成A2部分的第一張表。教師說:Listen to the tape and write down the information about the writer. 再次播放錄音, 讓學生著重聽關(guān)于書的信息, 完成A2部分的第二張表:Listen to the tape again and write down the information about the Harry Potter series. 然后全班核對答案。 3如學生仍有疑問. 教師可以再次播放錄音, 同時在學生不明白的地方短暫停頓, 教師稍作解釋。 4 學生完成A3部分的練習, 教師請六位學生指出每句中的錯誤并改止, 其余學生核對答案。 B Speak up:I want some history books. Step I呈現(xiàn) l教師問:Do you often borrow books from our school library? If you want to borrow a book, what should you pay attention to? 讓多位學生回答在圖書館借書的注意事項, 如果學生回答不全, 教師可以提示, 如: (1)We must know how many books we can borrow at a time. (2)We must know how long we can keep the books. (3)We must return the books on time. (4)We must take good care of the books. (5)If we want to keep the books longer, we must renew them. 2教師說:Now let’s listen to a conversation between Daniel and Mrs Li, the school librarian. And then answer these questions. 教師呈現(xiàn)問題: (1) How many books can Daniel borrow at a time? (He can borrow one Chinese book and one English book. ) (2) How long can he keep the books? (He can keep the books for two week.) (3) How can he renew the books? (He can renew them online.) 3再次播放錄音, 學生跟讀。教師說:Listen again and read after the tape. Step II活動 1學生兩人一組, 分別扮演圖書管理員和借書的學生, 進行對話替換練習。教師說:Work in pairs. Role—play Daniel and the school librarian. 2挑選幾組不同層次的學生, 進行對話表演。 3在基礎(chǔ)較好的班級, 教師可以轉(zhuǎn)換其他場景進行對話, 如體育館等, 教師說:Suppose you’re in a gym. Make a new conversation using Part B as a model. Sample conversation S1:Excuse me, I want to borrow some basketballs. but I don’t know where to find them. S2:Don’t worry. You can look at the shelf over there. S1:Thank you. How many basketballs can I borrow at a time? S2:You can borrow five for each class. S1:I see. How long can I keep them? S2:You can keep them for 45 minutes. You must return them after class. S1:Can I keep them longer? S2:NO, and you can only borrow them once a day. S1:OK. Thanks for your help. S2:You’re wele.
