2019年九年級英語下冊 Module 10 My future life教案 外研版 Teaching style: Listening and speaking. Teaching objectives: 1. To learn and understand the topic words through talking and listening. 2. To understand the conversation. 3. To do some exercises. Teaching points: 1. Main points: 1) Key vocabulary: ---beat, ceiling, fetch, pardon, raise… 2) Key structures: ---Anyway, don’t forget we’re going to the USA for the vacation! Don’t intend to stay in China for long, Tony? 2. Difficult points: The forms of enjoyable, handbag… Teaching method: PWP approach. Teaching aids: Some flashcards, tape recorder, video picture etc. Teaching procedure: Step 1. Greetings Ask some aural questions using be going to e.g. What are you going to do this evening? Are you going to have a birthday party tomorrow? Step 2. Presentation Get the students to look at the picture. Then answer the following question. 1. What’s the special event? 2. What’s everybody doing? 3. Are you going to have a school leaver’s party? Let the students say their answers. Listen to a passage and then answer the questions. Use these words and expressions to help the students. 1. What is Betty doing? 2. What does Betty’s mum think will happen? 3. What does Betty refuse to eat, and why? 4. How are they going to decorate the hall? 5. What will Betty’s mum do at the end of the evening? 6. What happens after the end of term? Ask some students to stand up and give the answers. Step 3. Listen and read Ask the students to read the dialogue by themselves first. Then answer the questions: 1. What Lingling’s plans are? 2. What people think of the music? 3. What Tony’s plans are? 4. What’s on the menu? 5. What they wish for when they raise their glasses? 6. What Betty’s speech is about? Let the students to answer the questions. Explain some useful phrases and sentences. 1. enjoy the party 喜歡晚會 2. forget to do 忘記干某事 3. even if 甚至 4. make a speech 發(fā)言 Step 4. Pronunciation Play the tape through several times while they listen and follow. Let the students read the conversation. Pay attention to the pronunciation and the stress of the sentences. Step 5. Work in pairs Give the students some topic and let them discuss. 1. What are your plans and hopes for the future? 2. Are you going to have a school leavers’ party? 3. What will you do on vacation? 4. Which personal qualities are likely to be mentioned? Step 3. Learn the passage 1. Ask the students to read the passage the first time and answer the questions: 1) Has she ever made a speech before to so many people? 2) What are the three things that she thanks? 3) How do you understand the sentence“A life without old friends is like a day without sunshine.”? 4) What have they learnt from each group of people? 2. Read it again, then do exercises 4. Answer the questions about the style of the speech. Ask the students to do the activity individually, and then check with a partner. Call back the answers from the whole class Step 4. Writing Imagine you’re going to give a speech at your school leaver’s party. You should write what you want to say to your teacher and your friends. You should pay attention to how to write the begging and the end.
