In the sentence “Can you tell me where you’re from?” “Can you tell me” is the main clause, and “where you’re from” is the object clause. Now we go on to make similar sentences. Can you tell me where you’re from? Can you tell me where he’s from? Can you tell me what you are going to do? Can you tell me when he leaves for Beijing?
